Kokol Farmstay

On the 5th June 2016 which is Sunday, we, the three of us (hubby, Gabriel and I) went for a short trip to Kampung Kokol. We've been there before but this year would be our first time to visit there.

The place is just like Kundasang with the cool breeze weather. Because the location is up at hills which is at a higher ground, you can see the outstanding view from up there. The Kota Kinabalu city view and the sea as well really amazing and so peaceful. Added with cool breeze, it makes you calm and peace at heart, far from the crowd and congestion in the city. I'll always amazed with this creation of God when I reached here. As if i want to be here every weekend, just sit quietly facing the view with my book and maybe updating my blog.

Few years ago, we had been to Kokol Haven Resort and Kasih Sayang Resort at Kampung Kokol. This time around, we tried out the Kokol Farmstay also located at Kampung Kokol. These three accomodations are situated not far from each other, thus you'll not loss or misguided to somewhere.

The Kokol Farmstay rate is around RM120-Rm180 per night. It's a 2 storey homestay with cafe and bbq facilities and meeting room as well. We've never been staying here, perhaps someday not just a day trip. Could bring other family members as well to stay here.

So, let photos do the talking.

That is all for now. Thank you for stopping by here. See you again in my next post. Till then have a great weekend. Oh ya, to those who haven't been to this place, perhaps this weekend would be nice for a day trip.

God bless!

Bazaar Ramadhan at Pekan Ranau

Hari Raya Aidilfitri is just around the corner. I guess many of you have planning for 'balik kampung' and even bought new apparel for the celebration, right?

So i would like to take this opportunity to wish Selamat Hari Raya to all Muslims around the world. Please be safe on your journey back to your hometown and eat in moderation, ok.. :)

Well, we were at Bazaar Ramadhan yesterday. Hunting food for dinner as the fasting season will ends in couple of days. I seldom going to the Bazaar stalls along this fasting season and yesterday i thought this was a great opportunity to walk around the stall before the fasting season is ended.

I always love to go for food hunting at Bazaar Ramadhan stalls because apart from a plenty of food, you can see a lot people here with varieties of background and races too. Malaysia is really well known by its' multiracial communities.

So, let us look at these photos i took yesterday:-

Flashback Friday : Natural History Museum London

Today, i just have a feeling to bring back those memories while we ( hubby and my son ) were in London last year. It was exactly a year ago in the month of June.

It really brings back the fond memories while browsing those photos. There are few attraction places in London that we had been to.

One of them is the Natural History Museum in London. I was excited with this museum because you can see a lot of dinosaurs exhibition here, the fossils and re-modelling skeletons and the stories about this ancient creature as well.

It was my very first time ever to witness the fossils and skeletons before my eyes of various type of dinosaurs from around the world which are kept safely in this museum. I don't think we have this in Malaysia. I have always watch dinosaurs in movies and on tv, and this experience was really priceless and speechless.

Today, A Year Ago

Today, a year ago we inside a plane heading to the UK.

I was nervous this time around because we were travelling for a long journey ( almost 13 hours) with our lil boy. He just entered 2 year old and the fact that he might get cranky to sit on a plane for long hours made me worry.

Traveling with small kid might be challenging but great experience. I have one kid at the moment. Hat off to those parents out there who are traveling with more kids! :)

It was my first ever experience onboard as well for this long hours journey and to the place i have never been before. I can say it was exciting but at the same time i was trembling haha..

As i recalled back in the beginning of the journey, i must be grateful and Praise to God because our little boy didn't get cranky and he sleeps almost of the hours, because our flight from Kuala Lumpur to London Heathrow scheduled at midnight (Malaysia Time).

He sleeps throughout the journey. He did wake up for about an hour though and fall asleep again.

It was amazing experience, good memories and like a dream comes true. But not all journey are smooth. You might encounter few obstacles before reaching your destination. Furthermore, this was our first time, right?.. :)

I still remember the moment we reached at Heathrow Airport, we lost Gabriel's stroller haha. We have to walk all the way to the departure hall again to look for the stroller.

Another thing is the thorough checking at London airport before we get another plane to Manchester Airport, with Gabriel's bottle milk, medicine and 'bosou' ( Sabah traditional cuisine). I think i'd blogged this before.

Trust me, you'll relieved when everything falls into place, and for that you'll never fail to be grateful, the things that God has guided you. Oh, it was really a great experience!

Well, what a coincident though. Today is exactly a year we travelled to the UK and there goes my #ThrowbackThursday as today is Thursday. :)

That is all for now. Thank you for visiting here.
God bless and have a great week ahead.

The North Wales Experience: Llandudno

Llandudno is a small town in North Wales. I can see that the town is a very peaceful place to live. It is situated near a beach. It is said that Llandudno is the largest resort at the seaside. The view is simply amazing and people around are very friendly too.

It was very windy when we were walking by the beach. There's a lot of seagull flying here and there, making noise for food.

The Prince Edward Square is just about 5 mins walk from the Beach House ( a guest house which we stayed). The square is situated by the beach and it is the main attraction here.

I'm glad that I've tried the fish and chips in North Wales. A friend told me that their special dish is fish and chips. The fish is fresh and suited with the chips too. But that was in Conway. I guess that speciality would be merely the same across North Wales.

As usual, i have to be certain about food for our young boy, because this lil boy of mine won't eat anything beside noodles, choc chip bun and rice with soysauce. I am so relieved that there is Chinese take away in Llandudno. Our toddler doesn't eat any western meal except for potato chips. So i am really happy to found one Chinese food outlet here, therefore we bought noodles as take away for him.

Llandudno also known as the place where the real Alice in The Wonderland had been for vacation. You can see Alice statue stand tall at the town, Mad Hatter and the Rabbit as well. There is event about this Alice in The Wonderland organized here every year too. Based on what i read on Llandudno website, there will be a parade around the town and people will wear costume referring Alice and her friends every year.

So let photos do the talking. :)

Indeed Llandudno is a very beautiful place to visit. I'm going to visit here again someday. I wish.

If you need a vacation or for a weekend escapade from that busy city life, this place would be a perfect place to go.

By the way, thank you for visiting my blog. Hope you enjoy reading and browsing the photos.

Till then, have a great week ahead.

Sincerely,
StellaClaire

The North Wales Experience: The Beach House

We (hubby and I with our lil boy)  just came back from 2 nights trip to North Wales on last Friday. The journey took 1 hour via train from Chester station to Llandudno Station.

I'm so happy this time because Gabriel (our lil boy), is now getting used to travel around via train. Not like the first time we travel to Manchester City, where he cried out loud the moment we get inside the train. And as the train stop at any station he will cried too. I guess he's now getting used to it and he likes to sit near the window where he can view sceneries while the train is moving.

Upon arriving at Llandudno Train Station.

We stayed at Beach House Bed and Breakfast Llandudno. The most comfortable guest house we ever stayed. The family room is so spacious and the price per night is affordable. We had fun and great experience. Especially the guest house, the beach side and country side. So calming and wish to visit here again.

The owner of the Beach House is so friendly and warm. I like her. She really understands the things we need especially travelling with lil kid. My experience staying at this guest house is wonderful. The room is very clean and comfortable to stay and complete with toileteris like shampoo and shower gel, towels, sweet treats for kids, mineral water, and hairdryer. Free WIFI available.

They served Welsh traditional breakfast, apart from toast and cereal. The breakfast area is so clean too and provided with baby chair. Unlike few of bed and breakfast we ever stayed in Chester and London, baby chair is not available.

So here are few pics i want to share:-

In front of the Beach House

The Beach House. The guest house we stayed for 2 nights.

The Welsh Traditional breakfast

My lil boy and hubby during breakfast

The room. It is family room type at first floor.

The Bathroom

The whole bathroom floor is in carpet

As you can see the name of the guest house we stayed is the Beach House. Yes, it is located near the beach. You can see the beachside from the window. And it is so windy too. A lot of seagulls flying here and there. There's a lot of guest houses, resorts and apartments along the beach. And in the middle there is square which they called the Prince Edward Square. (i'll post more about this later in my next post).

The view from window. Gabriel really loves to stand near the window. He loves to see what is going on outside. What a calming view. Just like a painting.

That is all for now. If you happen to have vacation in Llandudno, North Wales, this guest house really recommended.  I love the clean and spacious room because as you tired of walking exploring the city for the whole day, and when you came back to your room, it never fails to make you calm and relax.

That is all for now. Have a great week ahead.
Stay tune for my next post about the beachside and Llandudno town. I may share some pics.

Thank you for visiting my blog.
Take care.

Kundasang Trip August 2013

I decided to have a one day trip to Kundasang on the 3rd day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Feels like it's been a long time haven't visit there. In fact it has been 2 years since we visit there. Hubby agreed. He said that was a good idea, to spend the quality time together since it is a public holiday.

KL & Malacca Trip July 2013

Hello dear friends,
Wow it's been nearly a month I didn't post anything here.

I didn't realize it has been a month. There were so much things happened in that time of frame.

So i pick up the story about our trip to KL and Malacca from 23rd-29th July 2013.

It was actually unplanned trip. We bought air flight ticket at last minute since hubby's youngest brother getting engaged with a sweet girl from Malacca on the 27th July.

So, at first we bought air flight ticket from 26th-29th July. But something came up. We have to apply our Visa in KL so hubby dragged backward the date to 23rd July.

Our Visa is done by now. Everything is in plan. Thank You GOD. (will blog it out more later about that Visa thing.. :P )

Phuket Vacation: Day 3 (Last Part)- Phuket Fantasea, Bangla Road

This post would be the last post about our trip in Phuket.I'm going to move to another topic soon and it will be an interesting topic. You want to know about it?.. Stay tuned to next post.

So for today I will share with you a few infos and some pics of Phuket Fantasea and Bangla Road.

Okay, I start with Phuket Fantasea.

Phuket Fantasea is actually a place of theater, located at Kamala Beach, 9km from Patong. It is indeed a huge theater. Thousands of tourists around the world came to this theater every evening. The shows are about Thai cultural dances and legends. I found it was quite interesting. If you really eager about this shows, make sure don't lost the opportunity to buy a ticket to enter the theater. The cost is 1400bath per person including transfer from hotel.

You are not allowed to bring camera inside the theater. You need to queue up to a counter to put your camera there.

Phuket Fantasea operating hours is 5.30pm-11.30pm (local time). To know more about Phuket Fantasea, visit HERE.

Scroll down for some pics. :)

Phuket Vacation: Day 3 (Part 1)- Phi Phi Island

This Day 3 of our vacation in Phuket would be about our tour to Phi Phi Island. Just like James Bond Island, you could see the amazing view of the sea, beaches and the island itself.

This Phi Phi Island tour includes Maya Bay and Khai Island. Maya Bay is a place where the movie 'The Beach' starred by Leonardo d'Caprio was filmed. The view was really amazing. What a beautiful God creation. Unfortunately we didn't get to stay for a long time here. We were given only 30 minutes time to view the surrounding. We didn't even manage to swim or snorkeling here.

Meanwhile Khai Island was our last destination. We were relaxing there for about 2 and half hours. The weather was too hot. I put on a lot of sunblock, but my skin still burnt the time we went back to hotel. But hey, forget about sunburn, enjoy to the fullest first..haha!

In between Maya Bay and Khai Island, we passed Phi Phi Lay, Loh Samah Bay, Pileh Cove and Viking Cave for sightseeing. The scenery indeed was very beautiful, we took a lot of pictures. :)

Phuket Vacation: Day 2 (Part 2)-Simon Cabaret

Hello dear friends,
Today i want to post the Part 2 of our day 2 in Phuket.

I have to post about our trip in Phuket again. I really want to finish the entries about our vacation as soon as possible. Probably there's about 2 or perhaps 3 more posts about our Phuket stories. I hope I can finish them by this week because I have a lot more other things to write, to share with you. :)

Ok, here is the Part 2. This part would be the Simon Cabaret. I assume most of you heard about it before. Or maybe I should tell you what Simon Cabaret is actually all about.

Phuket Vacation: Day 2 (Part 1)- Phang Nga Bay/ James Bond Island

Here is the Day 2 of our Phuket Vacation.

On the 2nd day, we (hubby and I) altogether with the other family members went for islands hoping at Phang Nga Bay. We managed to joined with our family members this time for the island hoping. It was indeed the more people, the merrier it was.

We were picked up from hotel at around 8.30am to the Ao-Por Pier Jetty.

Phuket Vacation : Day 1 (Part 3)- Big Buddha, Wat Chalong, Phromthep Cape

Before I start over, just to let you know that a blogger friend Aki Borneo has just came back from Phuket too. I am sure he will blog out about his Phuket trip anytime soon.So don't forget to blog-hop to his awesome blog these 1 or 2 days. :)

Okay, here is the Part 3.

Upon entering our room, we felt so tired. We didn't even get proper sleep the day before. That was the cause from an overnight at LCCT. Therefore we took a little time for a nap before we start our tour in the afternoon. Just to restore a little energy for the touring later hehe..

Actually this Phuket vacation also includes my mother in-law, father in-law, my hubby's eldest brother with his wife and my hubby's eldest sister with her husband and their 5 years old daughter. It can be considered as family vacation. But they arrived at Phuket earlier than us. Therefore, we missed the Phi Phi Island tour with them on the first day we arrived in Phuket. That means we have to do things on our own on the first day.

Phuket Vacation : Day 1 (Part 2)- Aspery Hotel

Okay, this is the Part 2 of our Day 1 in Phuket.

We reached at the Aspery Hotel at about 10am. The lobby area was neat and nice. Upon entering the lobby area, you can see on your left hand side would be the cafe lounge and on your right hand side is the cybercafe. For an info, this hotel offers free wifi throughout the whole area in this hotel. Free and fast wifi connection in your room too.

Phuket Vacation : Day 1 (Part 1)-The Journey to Phuket

Hi, it's been a long time. :)

Today,  i would like to share with you about our ( hubby and I) recent vacation in Phuket. Some of you might want to know a little bit about Phuket and what are the things to do in Phuket. Well, i will write about it as well as few tips when you coming there.

There is no direct flight from KK to Phuket. Therefore we have to take a flight to KL then afterwards a flight to Phuket via AirAsia. Our flight to KL was about 8pm and the flight to Phuket was the day after, at 7.30am. We did an overnight at LCCT Sepang as our flight was early in the morning the day after.

15 August 2012
