It's Tuesday and I'm now 15 Weeks 3 days

Hi dear readers,

Thanks for still taking your time to visit my humble blog. It's Tuesday and i am sure most of us must be looking forward for weekend right?.. The days where we spend quality time with family.

To be honest, I always looking forward for Friday because hubby will be back to KK every Friday. Luckily for this week he'll be working in KK for the whole week because he has to attend some meetings and to entertain patients. Praise to God. :)

So today i'm in 15 weeks 3 days preggy.  Oh i can't wait this baby to be fully grown in my belly.

I'm excited and hubby as well. To tell you about my experience for this second pregnancy, of course there are slightly different compared to my pregnancy in 2011.

This is actually my 3rd pregnancy. My 1st pregnancy was somewhere in 2008 but God loves her more. She went home to God's house on 20th Dec 2008. Aww it's a long story, I'll try to fit in some time to blog about it later.

I had severe morning sickness when i was carrying Gabriel in my womb for about 8 months in 2011 and the first and second trimester were the worst. I cried everyday cause i can't take any food, I'll vomit and lying on the bed all day. I felt so weak and I even vomit at 2-4am. Oh my, i think those were the horrible days of my life..

For this pregnancy, I had morning sickness too on the first trimester. The first 2 months was quite severe too. But later i found out that i can't take any oily food, stir fry food and all those meals that contain spices, so i tried to avoid all these food and amazingly my nausea becoming slowly to cool down.

However, the things that are new for me with this pregnancy is i had bloated tummy, the sensation of heartburn, i had problem with my digestion system and constipation.

And one fine day hubby advised me to practice Yoga. I didn't practice Yoga for the first 7 weeks due to morning sickness. My body was so weak that i lie on bed most of the time. I goggled for yoga for bloating pregnancy and found this site; Beat Bloat with Yoga.

It was amazing how these Yoga poses had worked wonders to all those problems i mentioned above. Thanks to hubby for reminding me to continue practicing Yoga. The moment i practice Yoga and the breathing technique, it restores my energy and improves my digestion. The bloated belly and constipation are now less problem to me. So, those who want to get rid with bloated tummy, constipation or having digestion problem (whether you are pregnant or not ) you can practice all those Yoga poses from the site i mentioned in the previous paragraph.

Ok, that is all for now. Thanks for visiting here. Now i'm sharing with you my ultrasound scan during my 13 weeks pregnancy.

Aren't these cute?..  :)

See you again in my next post. Till then, have a great week ahead. GOD bless. :)

Welcoming 2015

Oh my haha..

I think it is too late for this post on welcoming the year 2015 LOL. And this is the very first post for the year 2015 after a long pause. Trust me i am really missing this blog but so much things happened lately. I miss my readers and all your feedbacks too. And my fellow bloggers as well, of course. :)

Wow, it is the month of March now so i am planning to blog more this year compared to last year. Wish me luck! haha..

So what is my current update?.. What is happening lately?.. Mostly my followers in IG and Fb would know, but i just wanna make it official in this blog.

So here are the current things that I need to cope in the year 2015 :-

1. Our Lil Boy Entered Playschool.
My not so lil' boy, Gabriel Aiden is now enrolled in playschool since January 2015. He'll be 4 in August, so we decided to let him to the playschool so that he could meet some new friends and learning to fit in some new environment in preparation for kindergarten next year.

So far, so good but it is normal right in the beginning he was scared to enter the school. He cried out loud and my heart breaks to see this. But this is for his own good. We want him to learn and interact with other kids.

This is really a new experience for us (Hubby and I) for sending our son to school and we were trying to cope this new thing. Daily routine to send and pick up our son from school now become part of our life just similar with other parents. We have to alert and wake up early in the morning to send our son to school.

And when Hubby is not around (because his work now based in Ranau), I'll played the roll to send our son to school and i have to wake up early in the morning..huhu! No more honeymoon like last year hehe!

2. Our Lil Boy is going to be a Big Brother soon! :)
Yes, it is a good news right?.. hehe... My due date is in by the end of August 2015 (according to the latest ultrasound scan) and it was really coincidence right?.. Gabriel also was born in the month of August. :D

I'll be 15 weeks pregnant on this coming Saturday (7th March) and I can't wait for the next prenatal visit to scan my belly again. I'm eager to know the gender of this baby. I guess in the next visit i would be 18 weeks and suppose the gender could be discovered by now. :)

We are hoping for a baby girl, but all is in the hand of God. It's a God's plan. We accept it with warm heart. :)

Oh my, it is 12.15pm now. I have to get ready to pick up Gabriel from school. Catch up with you again later! :)

Thanks for visiting here. And oh ya, Happy Chap Goh Mei to those celebrating! :)

Have a great week ahead. God bless. :)

The Things I Must Apply Everyday

These are the things I must apply everyday. Twice a day.
3 products for skin and 1 for hair-growth.

They're literally not that expensive. But they are fantastic and I think they suit me. I have to workout more on my skin and hair since I delivered my lil' boy.

18 November 2011

The hair story..

It's been 2 months 3 weeks and 3 days since I gave birth to baby Gabriel..The post-natal effect is now affected me. Yes, that is the hair fall problem..

I discovered this problem few days back. I am sure most of post-natal ladies experienced the same. I heard it is because the hormones thing. Mostly two to three months after delivery, the hormones started to change back to normal, therefore the problem such as hair loss will occured.

I don't know when it will be stopped. I heard some of mothers experienced this problem until 1 year period of time.

So, dear mothers out there who faced this problem, please share your experiences and care to share your method on how to overcome it. :)

Really glad to hear from you.

That's it.
Have a blast Friday ;)

My Giving Birth Story- PART 3

 -the family-
at Rafflesia Medical Centre

Hello dear friends,

I'm here again to update for the part 3 of my giving birth experience.
I guess this might be the last part, I hope so. :) First of all, forgive me for taking such a long time to post for the 3rd part of my delivery story.

And here is the continuation from part 2..

I requested for painkiller 2 times. The nurse said the painkiller should be given 50% for each jab (not sure what was she talking about). Instead she gave me 25% each. However the painkiller seem did not worked at all. I still suffered the pain as at it was. Indeed the painkiller really did not make the pain ease at all.

I couldn't bear any longer. That was what i was thinking at that time. Still, I keep myself positive. I told myself, "I can do this".

Hubby keep whispering to me, "You can do it.." But I don't know how long I could bear with the pain.

The CTG reading increased up to 100. And at one time it stagnant at 100 reading. OMG, i tell you, that was the worst part when it reached 100 and stayed there.

The nurse said, 'Jangan tahan nafas, ko kena bernafas tu.. Tarik nafas'.. I followed her advice.

It was around 10am, Doctor Ramesh finally came to view my condition. He broke my waterbag and examined my cervix. It dilated 2cm. Oh my God, after bearing intense pain, I was dilated 2cm only. Can you imagine that?..

As the waterbag broke, the doctor said the baby defecated.. He found feces in the waterbag. He confronted me and hubby that it was fine. It was still in controlled. The feces still in small portion but obviously it can't be waited for a long time too. It could be dangerous to our baby. Our baby might drown or suffocated.

The doctor viewed my contraction pattern and the baby's heartbeat pattern through the CTG machine and he found out that our baby's heartbeat become slower. He advised us that if the baby's heartbeat decrease to another level or still in weak condition for the next couple hours, we can't wait for the dilation anymore. I have to go for the c-section operation to save our baby's life.

As I heard the doctor said as such, there was something stuck in my mind. I mean what if I have to go for c-section instead after bearing so much pain for the sake of the dilation. All the waiting and pain-bearing will be in vain.

It was 11.30am. I could not wait any longer. I told my hubby to inform the nurse that I opt for c-section. The reason were, 1st I couldn't bear the pain anymore, 2nd the waiting and pain-bearing will be in vain if I still not dilated for the next hours and the 3rd was to save my baby's life as his heartbeat already in weak condition and he defecated already in my womb.

The nurse asked me if I have really made up mind, and I answered firmly 'Yes' (doii tidak tahan sakit suda bah).. She then gave me a paper, a sort of confirmation document for me to put my signature.

And at 12.30pm I was sent to operation room. The c-section procedure was done quite fast, at 1 hour period only. Hubby was in the operation room too to witness for the coming of our baby boy to the world. He even took pictures.. :D

The c-section process was painless. I just jabbed with sort of anesthetic at my left hand and at my back. I guess the anesthetist is professional enough. And the rest of the process, I just felt as like someone had touched my tummy. Thank God.. :)

At 1.30pm, I was sent out from operation room. My body shivering, I felt very cold. The nurse said, " badan ko memang begegar tu, itu effect dari ubat bius tu.."

And the important part in the whole process was I made a right decision to opted for c-section.

As I reached at my room, one of the nurse told me," nasib baik ko minta operation oh, ko punya baby punya leher suda terlilit sama tali pusat. Terlilit dua kali lagi tu.."..

I was like, speechless. That was really a shocked news. What if I waited for few hours then? What will happened to my precious baby? Thank GOD.. I was really grateful. Indeed He gave me some sort of courage and guidance to get through to this event.

Okay, that is my giving birth experience.

THE END. :D

My Giving Birth Story- PART 2

I guess many of you waiting for the part 2 story. So sorry for the delay. Ini lah ni kalau ada baby kecil, susah betul mau berblogging. Even blogwalking pun limited time saja. I hope i can spend more time on blog after this. I promise myself to do so.

Ok, here is the giving birth story part 2.

As i changed my attire to a hospital's cloth, i noticed there was a blood spot on my pantyliner. And the nurse said, " Nah ada darah suda tu..? ". I was very happy. I thought due to the blood spot and available contraction, there's no need for me to go for induce.

The nurse checked my cervix, it was dilated only 1cm. I was put on CTG machine to monitor the heartbeat of my baby as well as my contraction pattern. The contraction reading increasing from 30 to 70 and 100. The nurse said."nah ada suda contraction ko tu.. tinggi tu..". But honestly, the contraction really not bad at all, i still can smile and still can bear the pain.

I remembered the day before, doctor suggested me to go for induce using prostaglandin, which is a suppository or tampon like substance will be placed in or near my cervix during a vaginal exam.

However, the nurse said i might not be induced because there is a sign of labor already such as the blood spot and available contraction. I feel relieved to hear the nurse said so.

It was 9.30 am. Doctor still not appear in the labor room. The nurse reported to doctor about my recent condition via phone. And the doctor said, i had to go for induce but not using prostaglandin method, instead i will be induced using pitocin which is sort of liquid that will be dripped into my hand through IV line.

"Okay, i had to accept this", I told my heart and push myself to merged on a positive mind. "This should be fine", i told this repeatedly to myself. Thanks to my hubby, he was there all along the process. He gave me strength and encouraged me to stay in positive mind.

At last, i was dripped with that pitocin which a method of induce to cause my contraction even harder (according to the nurse). And i waited and waited till the contraction become harder as well as waited until my cervix dilated to 9-10cm.

And it is true, the pain really bad. The contraction become more harder. The nurse said, "kalau tidak tahan, cakap seja ok..nanti saya inject ko ubat tahan sakit, tapi ini ubat tidak kasi hilang sakit 100 peratus ok.." And trust me, i requested the painkiller 2 times due to the unbearable pain.

Okay that's it for My Giving Birth Story- PART 2

To be continued.. My Giving Birth Story- PART 3.

Thank you for reading my story. :D

My Giving Birth Story- PART 1

Hi everyone.. It's been a long time.
Yes, I didn't update my blog for about a week plus. This confinement period plus taking care of newborn restrain me from spending a lot of time for blogging job.

However, now i am taking this short opportunity of time while my dearest baby boy is sleeping. Hope he sleeps a little longer right now..hehe

So, today i would like to share with you my giving birth experience.

I went for doctor review on the 22nd August 2011. According to the ultrasound scan, doctor said the baby was still not engaged. My estimated delivery date was supposed to be on the 24th August 2011. However, i didn't feel any major contraction or something like that.

Doctor suggested me to go for CTG process on the 24th August 2011 and he said i might be induced to bring on the contraction in order to go for labor. My heart was pounded as soon as i heard the word "induce" because it was rumored that the induce process contributing much more contraction pain than natural contraction.

As suggested by doctor, i went for CTG process on the 24th August. The CTG result showed that the baby heartbeat was slow and weak. Doctor asked me to come again to hospital the next day. He said i had to be induced to speed up the labor process which is mean, I should delivered my baby the very next day. He advised hubby and me that there is a risk to wait the labor to start on its own because the baby's heartbeat was weak. So, we accepted the doctor's advice.

Back at home, 24th August 2011 night,  suddenly I felt contraction during bedtime. I can't sleep the whole night. The contraction was not that bad, but due to the uncomfortable feeling, i can't put my eyes closed.

The next day, hubby and me went to Rafflesia Medical Centre. We headed straight to 1st floor. The nurse in charge checked my case notes and asked me to labor room for CTG and as well as checking the dilation.

I remember she questioned me , " ada rasa sakit sudah ka?.. " I straightly answered I just felt the contraction the very night before. She asked me to change attire; have to wear hospital's cloth. And i noticed there was a blood spot on my pant means there's a sign of labor already..

Okay that is My Giving Birth Story for part 1.
to be continued.. :D

I am so excited and can't wait to welcome our lil' one.. I guess the baby stuffs are completed by now.. I hope so.

Normal fetus at 37th week of pregnancy. Source.

I went to see my gynae yesterday.  My weight is 62.1 kg and the baby weight is less than 3kg. The baby is healthy and in ideal position. However, the baby's head still not engage. My gynae said i might deliver probably between 18th - 20th August. Hmm..all the best for me.. :)

Even though the doctor said i might go into labor between those dates, i have to ready myself earlier, who knows things can happen unpredictably. Well, i have to ready myself physically and mentally. Have to always thinks positive. Always tell myself i can do it..

Nowadays, i feel tired easily. Feels like mcm mo tidur and baring-baring saja.. But don't want to lay myself down to bed seja.. Mau kena bergerak juga supaya senang deliver org ckp..hehee..

My feet still swelling and the lower part of abdomen ada rasa contraction juga but not that bad. More pressure on bladder and walking become more difficult too. I guess the head trying to drop by now. Beside, our lil' one become more active recently. Now he moves day and night, dulu time malam seja..

Okay that's it for now. Prayer for me and my lil' one.. :)
And not forget prayer goes to all pregnant ladies/ mother-to-be..
Oh ya, our blogger friend, Nancy Peter will be in labor in 3 days. Prayer for her too.. :)

What Happened on Week 35 ?

Hello dear friends?.. How is your day so far?.. I am great here. Thank GOD i am still in great condition, though my belly getting heavier each and everyday and bedtime is never an easy thing these days. I guess our lil one is the reason i am going strong each and everyday; it is because of the excitement of welcoming him.. Praise GOD.. :D

I am in week 35 now. Will be turned to week 36 in 3 days, that is on next Monday and that is the day for me for a regular visit again with my gynae too. Hope all is fine.

Well, what is happening to Baby and Mommy in week 35?..  Here are according to Pitterpatter.com.my :-

What is happening to my baby?
Your baby currently measures approximately 45cm from head to toe and weighs 2.5kg. The baby continues to build fat deposit underneath her or his skin which will help with the body’s temperature regulation after delivery. The fingernail and toe nails are growing. Your baby’s eyes now are sensitive to light and will constrict or dilate accordingly.

What is happening to me?
The top of your womb is about one finger-breadth from your chest bone or is now reaching the chest bone. At this stage your baby, your baby is descending further down into your pelvis. This is called quickening. If you have experience breathlessness during pregnancy at this stage it would probably ease down as the baby descends down and presses less on your rib cages.

Yes, i have experience breathlessness until now. But it seems ease down a little bit. And my feet starting to swell again for the 3rd time. My mom said if a pregnant lady's feet swell for the 3rd time, the delivery process is getting nearer. Don't know if it is true or not, just wait and see lah.. :) Even my hands also (especially fingers) are getting swollen too.

My swollen hands and notice that my wedding ring sempit suda.. :P

My swollen feet.. This is the 3rd time. Last time they swelled lasted 2 days only.
This time it is going 3 days already and still swelling.

Meanwhile, the preparation of baby's stuff is done. It just a small preparation only, maybe after lepas habis pantang, boleh beli lagi bah kan or minta tolong si hubby.. :)

So far here are the checklist of our lil one items:-

How to Turn Breech Baby

It was week 27. I went for regular visit at my gynae. He said my baby is healthy except that he is in breech position. As he told me it is common for baby in breech position at this early stage, because the baby still tend to move and turn by themselves into ideal position by week 36, i feel relieved.

I went for my regular visit again in week 29 and week 32. The baby position still the same. He didn't turned to any position at all. And doctor said, most likely this baby will not turn again (according to his experiences).

So by week 36, if the baby still in the same position, we have to go for ECV procedure or make an option for C-section delivery.

Because normal delivery for breech baby is not encourage by doctor. Presenting breech baby for normal delivery produces risk that you might not want it to be happened to your baby.

I am so worried that the baby will not turn himself into normal position as i don't want to do the ECV and I am thinking of avoiding C-section delivery.

Thank GOD, I came across this website ," The Final 6 Weeks of Pregnancy: Taking Care of Yourself and Preparing for Labor " from KK Mommies closed group in facebook. A caring mommy shared this website and I practiced the exercises method that stated in the article where it helps the baby to move into ideal position for birth.

 Pelvic tilts
Get on your hands and knees. Tighten up your stomach muscles and muscles in your bottom… this will arch your back up like an angry cat, at the same time “tuck your tail” like a scared dog. Hold for a few seconds, then relax back to a flat back (don’t let back sag down.). Repeat. At least 20 times a day. These strengthen your stomach muscles, which can help with back pain. They also help the baby move to an ideal position for birth.

Sit crosslegged
Sit on the floor, or elsewhere, “Indian style”. This helps open up and relax your hip joints which can help during delivery; it also helps baby get in the best position.

I started to practiced these exercises in week 33. And on top of that, i always sleep on my side and not on my back, most of the time at my left side. And thank GOD, on the 1st day of my week 34 (for your info, now I'm in week 34 and will turn to week 35 in 2 days) as I went for my regular visit at hospital, the doctor said baby's head now is in down position.

Wow.. it was like miracle to me. Because before this the baby did not turned to any position at all since week 23, he stayed into static breech position for 9 weeks. Even the doctor predicted that the baby will stay the same position until week 36. Praise to God, finally our baby turned to normal position. I pray that our baby will keep this normal position until the labor process.

I care to share about this because some new mommy-to-be might have similar case like me. With prayer and some effort, you can make a change. :D

That is all for now and take care.
GOD Bless.

Good News!

Hello everyone.. How is your day today?..
Thank GOD today's weather seem very cloudy compared to yesterday.

Last Monday (it's the day before yesterday), i went to RMC (Rafflesia Medical Centre) for my regular visit. As usual doctor scanned my tummy, took my weight and urine test. He did a blood test too to check my Hb.

My weight is 60.3kg and Hb (hemoglobin) reading is 10.7. Meanwhile, the baby's weight is 2.1kg plus minus 300gram. I am so happy that my Hb reading is not low anymore because last time it was 9.0 only. I guess it must be because of the iron supplement i took regularly as suggested by doctor, 'Saferon' (the name of the iron supplement) which contained 100mg iron.

My body weight slightly decreased, before this 60.5kg but the nurse said it's not a huge problem. As long as baby weight increase, it should be ok; the baby weight rises about 600gram.

And the good news that really makes me happy is that, the baby now is not in breech position anymore. Thank GOD, he is now in ideal position for labor. Can you imagine the baby did not moved or turned to any position since it was in week 23. Doctor said it seem he's been anchored into that position. And through his (the doctor) experiences, it is most likely the baby won't be turning anymore.

I am really worried by hearing the word that came out from the doctor's mouth. He suggested me to go for ECV process ( a process to turn the baby into ideal position for birth and should be done by a specialist doctor only). Honestly i don't want to go through that process. I rather prefer the baby turn naturally.

The normal and breech position of baby.

But now i am really grateful that the baby is now in normal position. I hope it will last until the day of delivery. Some said he can still turn back again because my pregnancy now is only week 34. Have to wait and see until week 36-37. Pray that he will not turn breech again.

I did some exercises actually to turned the my lil cute one into normal position. Yes, you can turn the baby into normal position through some method of exercises. Will share with you/ blog about it in my next post.

It's 10.30pm now and i am going to bed. See you again in the next post. :D

I'm in Week 33

Yes, now i am in week 33. In fact i'll be turning to week 34 in 2 days. So what is happening to baby and mom in week 33?..

As i refer to Pitterpatter.com.my, here are the info about mom and baby in week 33 pregnancy.

What is happening to my baby?
The baby’s skin is beginning to plump out due to fat being deposit underneath the skin. Its skin looks less red and wrinkly. At this stage the baby measures about 43cm and weighs 2kg.

What is happening to me?
The top of my uterus is now about 5 inches above my belly button. I may notice a yellowish substance coming out of your nipples. This is called colostrum or pre-milk. It is the type of milk is produced by the breast in the first few days after delivery. It is much thicker.

To be honest, my tummy now getting heavier day by day. It's hard to do some movement during bedtime. I mean if i turn my body to left and right, it's getting harder because of the heavy tummy.

Sometime i feel strange at the lower part of my abdomen too. Mcm ada rasa sakit-sakit, but still can tahan la... My weight now is 60.5kg. My leg also getting slightly swelled but it's in mild condition. Actually the swelling leg not that bad because it's on and off.

The baby also quite active. He always kicking and moving inside there. Maybe tidak sabar suda mau keluar hahaha.. To be frank, saya pun tidak sabar suda mau kasi keluar dia ni.. hehe..:P

Hmm..it's 7 weeks to go. Can't wait, but at the same time i feel the nervousness too. I hope all in smooth condition when the day come.
Pray for me okay.. ;P

Here i share with you my progress condition. :D

Till then have a great weekend.. :D

Kundasang Trip

We were in Kundasang a week ago. And i am thinking to share it with you. For an info, that was the first time of the year 2011 for us to arranged a trip to Kundasang as well as first ever since I'm pregnant. Honestly, at my earlier stage of pregnancy i can't go anywhere because of the bad morning sickness. Thank GOD it's all over towards the end of 5 month of pregnancy.

Therefore i take this opportunity to jalan-jalan with dear hubby. I was in 26 weeks of pregnancy (now 27 weeks and will enter 28 in 3 days), so i guess it was still okay for me to jalan-jalan makan angin hehe.. Lagipun mcm lama suda tidak jalan-jalan, bosan pula terperap di rumah. We went there for 2 days and 1 night. Kami stay di Mount Kinabalu Heritage Resort & Spa.

Wow, the resort was not bad. The room was comfortable enough and the scenery was really amazing. Melepaskan diri sekejap dari bandar yang sibuk, lagipun cuaca di KK yg sgt panas, berada di Kundasang dengan udara yg nyaman, memang menyegarkan.. :) Actually ini adalah quick plan. Means hari ni terfikir mau pigi Kundasang, hari ni juga book bilik then bisuk trus bertolak pigi sana.. starring kan haha..

Okay, now i share with you some pictures.. Enjoy!..:)

 bilik yang comfy.. :)

us at one of the chalet veranda

 spectacular view of Mt Kinabalu

Ambil gmbr kenangan dgn gunung hehe

 sempat melawat ke Rose Garden

us at Strawberry Garden tp sayangnya buah strawberry belum bnyk berbuah

Ada buah strawberry tapi kecil saja uhuuhu

Sempat ke pasar Kundasang.. can you see the colorful fruits?.. cantik oh kan... :)

And this is me at 26 weeks :D

Okay that is all for now.. So, siapa-siapa teringin pigi Kundasang dan mau stay di Mt Kinabalu Heritage Resort & Spa, you can view the rate HERE. The rate is not bad and sepa-sepa yg keja gov tu, boleh la minta gov rate sebab gov rate lebih murah. :D

Take care and GOD bless.

Week 26

Hello everyone.. How is your day?.. I am so sorry because of the late update. It was because the blogger site was under maintenance for few days. Week 25

Hi everyone.. How is your day?.. Hope all is fine and smooth. Today i am so happy dear hubby singgah turun KK. Actually dia ada hal mau urus di HQ di KK, so tengahari dia ambil kesempatan singgah sini rumah..Wow happynya saya dpt lunch sama2 dgn dia. But the sad part is, he went back to Kudat already around 4.00pm.. Tapi tidak apa, Friday is around the corner..tidak lama lagi dia balik KK lah tu.. :)

It's week 25. Yes, i am in week 25 now. So, the progress is perut semakin membesar and selera saya pun semakin bertambah.. Kadang2 sya takut juga terus melonjak naik berat badan saya. Can you imagine setiap malam saya 2 kali dinner..aduii... Cepat lapar bah sya.. However, i try to control juga la sikit2, nanti kalau terlampau kenyang semput pula haha.. So far berat sya baru 3kg ja naik.

And another one is, kaki sya pun start suda pandai cramp, but not really that bad lah.. The baby pula now semakin aktif. Selalu bergerak2, especially time malam and time sya tidur. Kadang2 sya pandai terkejut sebab trus tiba2 dia kick di dlm sana haha..

Hmm.. i'm really can't wait to welcome my baby. We scanned it last Monday and doctor confirm it as baby boy.. :)

Okay, that's it for now.. Will update lagi later ok.. Take care :)

Babies' first foods may have lasting impact on health

Health professionals have long known about the benefits of breastfeeding for babies, but new research reveals that the food babies eat in their first days of life may have a long-term impact on their health.

Presented May 2 in the US at the Pediatric Academic Societies, the results of the study conducted at Claude Bernard University in Lyon, France showed that babies who were breastfed for the first four months of life had lower blood pressure at the age of three compared to high protein formula-fed babies.

Breastfed babies also had slightly larger heads than those who ate low-protein formula. In addition, infants who were breastfed for the first 15 days of life had lower levels of insulin in their blood compared to formula-fed babies, although this difference disappeared by the time the babies reached nine months old.

Both groups fell within the normal range for blood pressure and head size, but the study raises questions as to what long-term impact, if any, this may have on a baby's life, and whether the difference disappears in time.

"It appears that formula feeding induces differences in some hormonal profiles as well as in patterns of growth compared with breastfeeding," study researcher Dr. Guy Putet said in a statement. "The long-term consequences of such changes are not well understood in humans and may play a role in later health."

The researchers suggest that the amount of protein in the babies' diet might be a possible factor in these differences. Breastfeeding is best, Putet said, but as a second option, feed your baby with a formula that produces a growth and hormone pattern similar to that of breastfed babies. Talk to your pediatrician about the best options for your baby.

Prior studies have shown that breastfeeding offers a myriad of benefits for babies, including reduced risk of obesity and diabetes, lower rates of respiratory problems, less incidences of eczema, fewer ear infections, stomach infections, and chest infections, and a possibly reduced risk of sudden infant death syndrome.

The World Health Organization and UNICEF recommend exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of life.
