Les Miserables

Les Miserables, the first movie I watched for 2013. It is a British musical drama film, and it was my very 1st time to watch a musical film too. Hubby and I watched it at GSC Suria Sabah on last Saturday (19th Jan ).

I was actually planning to watch The Impossible, which I saw its poster in Michelle Sung's Instagram. She even wrote a review about it in her blog. And from it I understand that this movie has a touching storyline and for sure you will shed tears while you watching it in the cinema hall.

So, to avoid the shed tears, I told hubby "Let us watch Les Miserables instead"..

Kristen Stewart As 'Snow White'

Kristen Stewart

So it seems that after wrapping up the last chapter to the ever-so-popular Twilight Saga series, Kristen Stewart may very well trade in vampire and werewolve boyfriends for seven little dwarfs. Yes, apparently, Kristen is in talks to portray the fairytale princess, Snow White!

In the Universal Pictures retelling of the classic fairytale, Snow White and the Huntsman will have more back-story to Eric, the bounty hunter sent by the evil queen Ravenna to hunt down Snow White. Eventually, Eric refuses to kill the princess and instead, tags along as her mentor.

While Kristen may be one of the leading actresses on the list to get the princess’ role, however, others also on the list include Riley Keough, Felicity Jones and Alicia Vikander.

Besides the lead role, Viggo Mortensen and Charlize Theron have also been rumoured to be in negotiations to play the huntsman, Eric, and the evil queen respectively. Rupert Sanders will be on the director’s chair.

What do you think? Is Kristen Stewart the fairest of ‘em all?

Stella says:
Wow.. it's fit. I think Kristen Stewart is the fairest of them all..hehe..
Her smooth and fair face would suits with the 'Snow White' character. I am sure to watch the movie if she become the leading actress..:)

Movie Anyone??..

It’s been a while since my last post.

Oh ya..this was the 1st movie I watched for year 2010.

Avatar

Ok it’s not Avatar I want to talk about hehe..

Last Sunday, me and my lil sis together with dear hubby went to OneBorneo for a movie. We had Sherlock Holmes in mind but it was like we didn’t plan to watch any specific movie. As we arrived at the counter, we saw this The Spy Next Door movie starred by Jackie Chan. Without hesitated we bought tickets to watch the movie.

In a scene in The Spy next Door

For those who really admire to watch Jackie Chan’s stunt, you might don’t want to expect the best from him as maybe because his age factor. His stunts action was not really swiftly as he was young then, but I can't deny it was still impressive. The movie was put in sense of humor here and there and I really enjoyed watching it.

The story was about a man named Bob (Jackie Chan) who is actually a spy, fall in love with a woman with three kids named Gillian. I assume the woman was divorced because she don’t have husband and the children really don’t have idea where their father is. On deciding to marry Gillian, Bob want to tell her about his job but he didn’t have a chance since their conversation was interrupted by a call from Bob’s boss. Beside, Bob have to win the kids’ heart too to marry Gillian. The kids really hate Bob and they don’t want him to marry their mother.

The life of the three kids was put in danger when Bob was asked by Gillian to take care of the kids while she has to look after of her sick dad in hospital. It was then the eldest kid finds out about Bob’s job and told her mom about it. Gillian was really mad and decided to break-up with Bob. She’s really mad because it was all about her children life.

So, further story..watch your own in cinema hehehe..

Just arrived from vacation a week ago. Indeed it was fun. It’s not only just because about the vacation, it’s about spending time with the family. There were 7 of us during the vacation and people said the more you spend time with your family members, the more closed you are to them. I think this is true. Something that you can’t bought or sold..happiness and spending time with your family.. Yes, it was fun..we put ourselves in that relaxing state, however there were once which we felt so tired too when my mom was really eager with her shopping. She did all the shopping and of course we were the one who have to wait for her. And for the entire of my life, I never saw her shopped like that in KL..Maybe that’s one way to release some pressure from her ordinary work in office.. I think so..hehe

Apart from that, our journey to Genting Highland from Bukit Bintang went well. We went there by a small bus. We booked a van actually, but the driver drove that small bus because he picked up some tourist too before that. Maybe quite a number of tourist.. Upon arrived at Genting Highland as well at the First World Hotel lobby, as usual there were a lot of people waiting for hotel check in. We used the self check in kiosk and it’s faster than I imagine because you don’t have to wait so long to get your room number /room key from the check in counter since you don’t have to wait for your queue up number been called to do so. We booked 3 rooms, one for my parents, one for my siblings, and me and hubby for a room. We were in relaxing state at this time because no more walked around too much for shopping hehe.. just walking here and there to play the games at the indoor park.

We were so disappointed since we can’t go around and play at the outdoor theme park due to the bad weather. Fogs, raining and windy..the outdoor theme park were closed. Fortunately we didn’t buy the outdoor tickets that morning, because the weather was so bad for the whole day. But too bad we can’t play at the outdoor park. My youngest sister age 11 years was really disappointed. She really wants to feel the excitement at the outdoor theme park. I think it was bad idea to do a vacation for Genting Highland in the month of December. I confronted her to go there again next year. Perhaps in the middle year maybe.. We went for indoor games and entered the Ripley’s Believe or Not Museum.

01 October 2009

Lately..

It’s been more than a week I didn’t update here.. I’ve been too busy lately.. Lots of work in office as well as to pay attention to my sisters and bro since they were staying at my house for the whole last week. Each of them wanted to use the internet line, and I gave that chance for them to use it. Last week was the Hari Raya celebration, and I didn’t go to any open house... A friend did invite me, but due to family thing, I can’t make it to her house. But she really understand and hoping we’ll be met one day. She was my schoolmate during our days in high school, Alicesa John.

On the other hand, I would like to congratulate my friend as well as my ex-classmate, Florence Robin on her wedding on last 20th September 2009. She’s absolutely looks gorgeous on her wedding day. I did attended her wedding ceremony at SDA Church Likas, KK. I am so happy to met her.. because we didn’t met since last day of our high school.. and as I look at her, she become more prettier and sweet together with her husband.
May GOD bless their marriage.

So now I might wanted to share things that I’ve been done for the last week.. It was school holiday.. As my sisters, Stacy and Sandra as well as my brother, Willie came to my house..they’re really can’t wait to do the swimming activity. Honestly, I didn’t get any courage to swim because I can’t swim hehehe.. I could swim but just by depending on a kicking board and.. that’s it. My hubby did taught me for several years now, but only end up with swimming by using kicking board..and I really hate to see others swimming without relying on kicking board coz I didn’t dare to swim without it.

Finally, a day which I assume a miracle happened.. it was 23rd September 2009.. I really remember this date..it was a historical date in my life.. the date where I can shout out “ I can SWIM!!!!”... Yes, really.. I did swim without relying on kicking board anymore and I’m sooooooo happy.. I even can hold long breath and dive deep inside the pool and touched the floor in it. What a miracle.. I didn’t afraid of water anymore and now I have the courage to swim and dive..hehehe.. Thank GOD for this.. and this reminds me that NOTHING is impossible in GOD’s hand.. the matter is ‘FAITH” should come first.. Thanks to my bro and not forget to my hubby and sisters for motivating me to do this..
I am so grateful.. :)

Sooo happy.. I can swim yeay! (opppssss sorry for the blurry pic.. :p)

Meanwhile, on the 3rd Raya day.. me and my hubby as well as bro and sisters went out for a trip. It’s not a long journey trip actually.. We were walking and taking some air just here around KK. We visited the KK Wet Land Centre and Bukit Bendera…and have a walk at Jesselton Point.. It was such a tiring journey because we’d been at 3 places for a day..but we had so much fun.. Had some see sighting and there were..click-click here and there..hihihi..
we enjoyed the photograph session..:)

It was the first time for me and the rest to be in the KK Wet Land Centre.. it was such a calm moment.. the place is really beautiful and calming.. I really love the green leaves and grass.. and I really encourage for all of you out there who want to release some stress from that busy city, to come here and have some calmness moment..

KK Wet Land Centre..

I Love the greenie..

Bukit Bendera is the place where you can view the city of Kota Kinabalu from up above the hill and you can view the whole KK centre from up there.. such an amazing view with its’ blue sky, islands and buildings.

KK view from Bukit Bendera..

It's Kota Kinabalu..

And lastly, Jesselton Point is a place where you can view the seasight…It was a beautiful and amazing view.. This place is a seaport place actually, a place for a station of transportation to Manukan Island, Mamutik Island and etc.. You can go to Labuan from this port too..

KK arch..

Love this view..

It's a ferry to Labuan..

All of us.. :)

We had so much fun and enjoyed the trip..
Three days later after the 3rd raya day trip, we went on a trip again.
It was on last weekend.. I'll post some story of it as well as pictures on my next post.

Till then, have a great day and enjoy your day..
GOD bless..

**********************************************************************************************************************************

On the other hand.. I am preparing myself for my sister’s birthday celebration this evening around 7pm.. She turns 20 on the 3rd September.. We decided to postpone her birthday celebration since it was Thursday and it was my thought too to postpone that celebration to Saturday (today) as everyone would be free and easier to come
to my parents’ house on weekend.
Now I am thinking what gift should I present to her.. Maybe something related with her age or perhaps something to do with religious.. Hmm..will think of it later.. As long as I bring something for her, it would be nice for a birthday GIRL.. hehe..

Ok that’s it for today..
Hope You all have a joyful weekend. GOD bless!

Revenge of the Fallen..

I ready myself today, went to church for 9 am mass at Mary Immaculate Cathedral. Then we went for late breakfast at Burger King, Damai. I tried the Mushroom Swiss Devotion burger for the first time and it’s not bad.. After the brunch , me and hubby went to Sacredheart Cathedral to meet my sisters, Stacy and Sandra since they attended mass there.. We planned to watch movie together. So four of us were headed to Centre Point shopping centre in Kota Kinabalu to buy for movie tickets.

So, guess what movie we watched today?.. Yes, it’s the Transformer: Revenge of The Fallen.. As we reached at Growball, the tickets for 12.35pm, 1.25pm, 1.35pm and 1.55pm were sold out.. We were there at about 12.50 pm.. Without hesitated, we bought the 2.45pm tickets..

Absolutely worth it.. Yes, I recommend it for those movie lovers.. It’s worth it to watch this movie.. Two thumbs up..!!! Eventhough, the intro was quite interesting and didn't really gave much impact to me, but towards the middle and end, the movie was really dramatic, more stunt actions, interesting and was slipped with funny scenes...

So, what are you waiting for?.. Go and get your ticket today and enjoy the movie.. Have fun!.. :D
